Painted on site near Pienza, Italy, this was the first of many plein aire paintings I made in spring 2024. Tuscany weather changes rapidly, so it's common to see storms moving through one minute & sun the next. So I was painting Pienza in the sun, when suddenly it decided to rain & I went with it! Aaahhh, Tuscany!
